Paint protection is also referred to as an automotive clear bra. You’ve seen those cars with the black leather contraptions over the front? Well, this is the improvement. Paint protection is cut from patterns which are specific to the make, model and submodel of the vehicle and cover several areas of the vehicle. Our general kit includes the hood, fenders, grill (if painted, not chrome), bumper, headlights, fog lights and the backs of the mirrors. We also like to add those small areas such as door cups (frequently scratched by fingernails and rings), trunk lip (area where your luggage drags across) and the edges of the doors (where they tap other cars in the parking lot) at no extra cost to you. All pattern pieces are customizable and cut on site so you can choose the type of kit and what pieces are included. Hood patterns can be a depth of 18-30″ and can be straight or curved for example. Full hood and fender patterns are also available on some cars. This product is generally applied to a newer vehicle and to those which have paint that is in good-excellent condition. This product provides protection from your vehicle getting dinged, chipped, scuffed or scratched.
We have conducted our own experiments with this product so we could provide you with accurate information. We have thrown rocks and tools and marked it with permanent markers to see how it performed. We also have a report that bird poop will wash off easily with a hose, even after a week. We were unable to duplicate this test in our shop, for reasons which should be obvious! We reviewed various product lines before making our selection on the paint protection which we wanted to offer to you. Some of the products have an “orange peel” look, which we found to be unattractive. We opted instead for the Avery Nano-fusion product which is virtually clear, without texture, and of a somewhat thicker consistency.
This product comes complete with a lifetime warranty and our 100% satisfaction guarantee! However, we need to let you know that this product is pricey, but it’s a lot less expensive than re-painting your car. It will protect your paint finish and keep your vehicle looking showroom new for many years. So, if you want to keep your car looking it’s best and ensure it’s resale value, this might be a service you want to invest in.
